Zwingit is a location-based messaging platform for you and your friends. Zwingit is a fun and engaging application that allows you to place messages at any spot on planet Earth and Zwingit delivers them when you or your friends are there.
A Zwing is a message you leave for yourself or friends that is stored at a location and opened when you or your friends get to that location.
Zwings can be shared within your friends network. If a Zwing is marked with "Allow Forwarding" then the recipient can share your Zwing with their friends. If not checked, then the recipient will not be allowed to forward the Zwing. Zwingit does not share your personal information with anyone.
All Zwings default with "Allow Forwarding" checked. If you want to send a private Zwing, then this option should not be selected.
Selecting "User Settings" under Settings enables you to change your password.
Does Zwingit run in the background and will it affect my battery life?
Zwingit is a location based messaging service and needs to have your Apple Location Services enabled to alert you when a Zwing is nearby. We have built 3 service levels: High, Medium, and Low. For near perfect accuracy, you can enable High. For battery maximization, we have provided Low. We recommend medium, as it should not impact your battery while providing great alert notification. These options can be found in the "User Settings" section under the "Settings" tab.
Can I permanently delete Zwings?
If you no longer need or want a Zwing you can select the "Archive" button. This will move it to your "History" section. The Zwing will no longer appear on your Map. To permanently delete the Zwing,select the "Delete" button with the History section. Your Zwing is now permanently erased. Please be advised, any Zwing that is shared or forwarded will be under the control of its new owner.
How do I add friends to Zwingit?
You can add friends via the "Invite Friends" button under the settings tab.
Zwingit is available for free in the iTunes app store.
When are you going to make the app for Android?
An Android version is currently under development. However no launch date has been announced.
What versions of the iPhone are you compatible with?
Anyone with an iPhone or iPod Touch running iOS 4.0 and above can use Zwingit.
When will you have an iPad version?
We're actively considering new devices and platforms, but we have nothing to announce at this time.
I have a technical problem or support issue I need resolved, whom do I email?

On some occasions Zwingit does not notify me of a Zwing when I am at the defined location. Why?
We have built a reset filter into the application. Once you have been alerted of a Zwing in your area, you will need to move ~1km away from the area before the Zwing is reset to notify you again. This will prevent a Zwing from constantly alerting you. As such, if you are not notified, it's likely you have not moved more than 1km away from the area.
